Format, Costs & Timings
This is the 23rd challenge match between the two golf societies originating in Poppleton, York. HGS lead by 13 1/2 to 8 1/2 over the Fox Inn Golf Society.
Martin Gaunt will be organising this event for HGS. It is pairs matchplay competition, played off the difference of the full calculated Course Handicaps.
The cost will be confirmed nearer the time. Please pay HGS by funds transfer in advance (or contact Maurice Jones). Please reply to the Organiser by the deadline to confirm whether you will be playing.
The first Tee Time and arrival time will be confirmed nearer the date. If you want to hire a buggy, please contact the Pro-Shop directly. Dress code in the clubhouse for the meal is smart-casual or clean golf gear.

Predicted Playing Handicaps
The latest predicted playing handicaps of the confirmed attendees will be shown below a few days before the event, based upon the latest recorded WHS Handicap Indexes on the website and the Slope Rating of the course.
