Darren Priest returns at Bridlington

Our 2024 programme of events started at Bridlington on what was a rather wet course, with 12 temporary greens and the fairways playing very long. Oh, and it was raining - thankfully not too heavily!

None of this proved a problem for Darren Priest, who scored 35 points on his return from a 6-month layoff due to injury. Lance Porter came second with 31 points and Brian Williams third with 30 points.

Scoring generally was low (the average score was less than 24 and there were only 3 birdies) as the conditions were difficult. Let's hope the weather and course conditions improve in preparation for our next event at Hickleton in May.
